Daily Routine
Moro Mou’s hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Drop-off is from 8:30am to 9 am, and pickup is from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. If on a particular day you will need to drop off or pick up outside of these times, just give me 24 hours’ notice!
While Moro Mou does not subscribe to a strict daily schedule, I do like to have a general daily routine that the children can be accustomed to and rely on. It will vary depending on nap schedules, but in general, this is the routine we will follow:
Arrival
Exploratory play and transition into school day
Morning Greeting
Once everyone has had a chance to transition in, we will gather together for some welcoming songs and to discuss the plan for the day. This is when I will introduce any new materials available for the children as well as new ideas we will be exploring.
Morning Activities

Morning snack
Outside play (including public parks, play gyms, and classes)
Lunch/Afternoon Feedings
Quiet Resting Time
Older children will have a napping/resting time after lunch.

Wind-down
Before pick-up, we will wind down with quiet music and calm activities.
Pick-up/Goodbyes
As each child leaves, we will all help them clean up what they were playing with and say goodbye.

Moro Mou will purchase memberships to various public activity spaces, depending on the ages and interests of the children. These may include:

Moro Mou Nursery and Day School observes the following holidays and breaks (exact dates vary from year to year):
January 1: New Year's Day
April 3-7: Spring Break (aligns with CPS Spring Break)
May 29: Memorial Day
July 4: Independence Day
August 14-18: Summer Break
September 4: Labor Day
November 22 (Pickup by 3pm): Day before Thanksgiving (Moro Mou open until 3pm)
November 23-24: Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day
December 24-31: Winter Break
